Beginning Monday, Oct. 6, Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) will introduce modifications to the Stinger Shuttle routes. These changes are the result of thoughtful review and engagement with community groups and campus leadership, aimed at improving transit accessibility and efficiency. 

 Key Changes to the Stinger Routes

• Reinstate the former Gold Route with four buses. Buses will start at the turnaround parallel to the Weber Space Science and Technology Building and make stops along Ferst Dr. and Fifth Street, ending at the Midtown MARTA Station. It will depart the MARTA Station and return to campus via Spring Street, stopping at Publix, Fifth Street, and along Ferst Drive back to the Weber Building turnaround.   

• Return the name of the current “new Gold Route” to the “Clough Route” with three buses. Buses will start at the Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons turnaround and make stops along Fowler Street and Fifth Street, ending at the Midtown MARTA Station. It will depart the MARTA Station and return to campus via Spring Street, stopping at Publix, Fifth Street, and Fowler Street, back to the Clough Commons turnaround.

• The Circulator Route will be discontinued; buses will be reallocated to the Gold and Clough Routes.

• Evening weekday (Monday through Friday) service adjustment: Operating two buses, the Gold Route will detour to service the Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons. One bus will operate from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., and another bus from 2 to 3:15 a.m.

• Weekend service adjustment: The Gold and Clough Routes will be combined and operate as one route.  

• Relocate the Blue Route westbound stop from the Weber turnaround to the shelter on Ferst Drive, adjacent to the Weber Building, to help riders better distinguish buses traveling to the North Avenue Apartments from those heading to West Village. 

With these changes, a total of seven buses will now service the Midtown MARTA Station and Tech Square, providing a direct connection between the following key locations on campus: 

• Midtown MARTA Station. 

• Tech Square. 

• Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons. 

• The Kendeda Building for Innovative Sustainable Design. 

• Campus Recreation Center. 

• John Lewis Student Center.  

These modifications are designed to streamline travel across key campus destinations and improve the overall transit experience for students, faculty, and staff.
