Game Day Student Transportation: GT vs. Louisville

As we prepare for the GT Louisville game on Friday, September 1, 2023, we want to ensure that getting to and from the game is as convenient as possible for our students. Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) has arranged dedicated game day transportation to the Midtown MARTA station to make the journey smooth and hassle-free. Here are the details:

Game Day Schedule:

  • The game starts at 7:30 PM and is expected to end around 10:30 PM.
  • Game day transit to Midtown Station will start at 6:15 PM and run continuously until 8:30 PM.
  • Buses will stage at Midtown Station at 9:30 PM for transport back to campus, with service ending at 12:00 AM or earlier, depending on the crowd.

Will there be multiple pickup points for transportation to the game?

Yes, there will be multiple pickup points. The routes will start at North Ave Apartments and Fitten Hall respectively and will end at the 10th Street MARTA Station.

How long can students expect the bus to take to arrive at each stop? 

Due to traffic, we are unable to provide exact departure times. However, you can track the game day charter buses in our Transloc app. They will appear as an orange icon on the map, allowing you to monitor their real-time locations.

How much does MARTA cost?

Students must pay $5.00 for a two-way MARTA ticket, including transfers.

What is the outbound route?

Take the Gold or Red line outbound to Five Points Station, then transfer to the Blue/Gold line to Vine City or CNN Center Station.

How do I return to campus after the game?

Take the Blue/Green line from CNN or Vine City to Five Points Station, then transfer to the Red/Gold line inbound to Midtown Station.

How does this impact the Gold bus route?

The Gold bus route will continue its normal route, providing additional support to and from the Midtown station.
