• This permit allows students who carpool together to park in one assigned area at any time, except when needed for special events.
• Carpooling is an environmentally-friendly way for students to commute to the Georgia Tech campus.

Availability

• This permit is available to Georgia Tech students, faculty, and staff.
• August 15 through August 14 of the following year.

Pricing

• $695 for full year (This permit may be purchased year-round at a prorated price; and the cost of this permit may be shared amongst carpool members). For prorated information, please contact Parking and Transportation Services.
• $35 to replace lost or stolen permit.

Purchase Carpool Permit

Description

• This permit allows students to park in one assigned area at any time.
• This permit is designed for students who may need to obtain a permit on a semester basis.
• Permits are available in all East Residential (ER) and West Residential (WR) parking locations.
  • Please note, E40: Klaus Deck are designated for graduate students only.
  • View parking zones to choose the parking location that works best for you.

• Students may also park after-hours and on weekends in non-residential, non-visitor parking areas (non-residential zones are marked with E or W; residential zones are marked with ER or WR). After-hours privileges may be utilized from 5 p.m. – 8 a.m. and on weekends, starting Friday at 5  p.m. until 8 a.m. on Monday
  • After-hours parking in E45: Tech Tower, E49: Alumni House  and E81: Tech Square Deck parking areas must be vacated by 6 a.m. daily.
  • To park after hours in the following locations, permit holders are required to have a valid permit for E40: Klaus Deck, E44: Lyman Hall, or E82: Centergy Deck to park in E40: Turner Place.

Availability

• This permit is available to students only.
• Fall Semester Permit: Aug. 15 – Dec. 31.
  • Must be purchased by Sept. 30.
• Spring Semester Permit: Jan. 1 – May 15.
  • Must be purchased by Feb. 15.

Pricing

• $400 for each semester.
  • Fall Semester Permits may be refunded until Sept. 30.
  • Spring Semester Permits may be refunded until Feb. 15.
• $35 to replace lost or stolen permit.

Purchase Semester Permit

Description

• This permit allows students to park in one of five specific SmartPark locations on campus.
• SmartPark is a pay-as-you-go permit program for students who occasionally drive to the Georgia Tech campus.

  • W22: Dalney Deck
  • W23: North Deck
  • Area 1: Visitor Parking

• SmartPark is allowed from 5:30 a.m. – 12 a.m. Overnight parking is not permitted.
• Regular hourly parking rates will apply if SmartPark units have not been purchased.
• The SmartPark program is "permitless" - permit holders will not receive a physical permit hangtag. SmartPark permit holders will now tap their BuzzCards on the main entry/exit card readers at any SmartPark location to gain entry/exit.

Pricing

• There is no longer a fee to join the SmartPark program.
• $7 per single parking session.
  • Units must be purchased prior to using the SmartPark permit or entering a SmartPark location.
  • Units may be purchased in bundles of 3, 5, or 10 parking sessions.
  • Units may be paid for with a credit card in Driver's Seat as well as with BuzzFunds or a credit card in-person at the PTS Customer Service Office located at E81: Tech Square Deck.
  • Units are nonrefundable, but can be rolled over year to year with the purchase of a new SmartPark permit.

Purchase SmartPark Permit

Description

• This permit allows students, faculty, staff, and retirees to park in non-SmartPark and non-visitor parking zones.
• Flex Permits allow for in/out access to parking zones while the permit is active.
• Flex Permits are active until 11:59 p.m. of their active period.
• Flex Permits may be purchased up to 60 days before usage.

Availability

• This permit is available to Georgia Tech students.
• August 15 through August 14 of the following year.
• Flex Permits are not available for 3 days prior to major campus events.

• $8 for daily permit.
• $15 for consecutive two-day permit.
• $35 for weekly permit.
• $110 for monthly permit.
• Flex Permits are non-refundable.

Purchase Flex Permit

Description

• This permit allows students, faculty, staff, department members, and visitors to park in ungated parking zones on a basis that matches their needs.
• Daily permits are issued for one day and expire at 7 a.m. the following morning.
• Weekend permits are issued for one weekend and permit parking from 5 p.m. on Friday through 7 a.m. on Monday.
• Weekly permits are issued for one week and expire at 7 a.m. the morning after the same day of the following week.
• Monthly permits are issued for one month and expire at 7 a.m. the morning after the same day of the following month.
• Temporary permits are only valid for the locations and dates indicated on the permit.

Description

• This permit allows students to park in parking zones on campus after normal business hours.
• These groups may park in any non-residential, non-gated parking zone from:
  • Monday through Thursday from 5 p.m. – 8 a.m.
  • Friday through Monday - 5 p.m. – 8 a.m. on Monday.
    • Excluding E44: Lyman Hall and E49: Alumni House.
  • Evening/Weekend permit holders parking in E81: Tech Square Deck overnight must remove their vehicle by 6 a.m..
• For an additional fee, students can customize Evening/Weekend permits to allow access beginning at 2 p.m., 3 p.m., or 4 p.m..

• $235 for parking beginning at 5 p.m..
• $335 for parking beginning at 4 p.m.
• $435 for parking beginning at 3 p.m.

Purchase Evening/Weekend Permit

Description

• Motorcycle permits allow students with motorbikes, mopeds, scooters, and minibikes of all engine sizes to park on campus in any designated motorcycle parking area.
• Motorcycles must be registered with the Georgia Department of Driver Services and have a valid Georgia Tech permit to park on campus.
• Motorcycles may only be parked in designated motorcycle parking areas.
• Motorcycle permit holders must pay the hourly rate if parked in a visitor lot.

• August 15 through August 14 of the following year.

Pricing

• $145 for primary vehicle.
• $30 for secondary vehicle. The secondary vehicle price is only available in conjuction with an Annual Individual Permit and is non-refundable.
